The ocean is a desert, with all its magical wonders and treasures hidden below the surface. The only way to unlock the full mystery of the underwater realm, is to be on the inside, looking in, or else you must glance in from the surface. Whichever way you choose, your eyes must be in the water.

From day one, Ocean Dreamers has always offered the highest in standards of education. We see it as an obvious, and very important part of our business concept. Our staff members are among the most competent dive leaders in the business. They are not only knowledgeable, they are multi-lingual, and capable of delivering dive education in the highest quality.

During the classroom sessions, we will discuss the skills and equipment you need to enjoy SCUBA diving. The pool sessions are the practical "nuts and bolts" of your SCUBA program. You will learn all of the basic skills and techniques needed to be a safe and successful SCUBA diver.

Following your classroom and pool training, we will take you to the open water where you will make five fun-filled dives.  These dives will give you another opportunity to practice the skills you have mastered in the pool.

Experience has taught us that the first sea dives are normally not experienced as the best ever dives by students due to various factors such as bad buoyancy control, currents and surges, as well as the strange new boat rides and possible motion sickness. To obtain the maximum enjoyment of sea dives, we choose to qualify our students in Miracle Waters, close to Brits / Hartbeespoortdam. We endeavor to do the students’ first sea dives with him / her as well, thus completing the full training cycle. Once qualified in Miracle Waters, sea dives should be a breeze, ensuring full diving enjoyment and the best value for your money. In the event of us going to the sea soon after completing your course, you may opt to do only three of your qualifying dives at Miracle Waters and the remainder of your qualifying dives in the sea.

With Ocean Dreamers you can choose to go either the PADI route or the NAUI route if you make us your preferred choice for scuba training.

Course Bookings

Bookings for courses are essential and a deposit is required with your booking. The remainder of the course fee is payable on the date on which the course commences.

Requirements

If you already have any scuba diving qualifications, proof of qualification or your personal logbook must be brought along to the course. All persons over 40 years of age must undergo a dive medical examination before their first open water qualification dive.
